ABOUT THE ROLE
Report to our Superintendent and lead the safe, productive work of multiple roofing crews. This is a field-first management role for either (1) a current Foreman ready to step up to managing foremen and crews, or (2) a Roofing Manager already leading foremen who wants to join a high-performing team. You’ll be the point of contact for all crew-related needs—materials, training, staffing, and day-to-day roofing leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead, coach, and schedule crews/foremen; run daily huddles and weekly look-aheads.
• Track production closely; forecast labor surplus/shortfall and rebalance manpower.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-quality crew members; build bench strength.
• Drive safety (Cal/OSHA), QA/QC, and spec compliance on every job.
• Perform roof inspections for new business and document findings (photos/reports).
• Meet vendor/manufacturer reps on site to inspect work for warranty certifications.
• Own crew logistics: materials/equipment issues, training questions, and field problem-solving.
• Support small change-order scoping; close punch lists and warranty items.

YOUR TOOLBELT (WHAT YOU BRING)
• 5+ years roofing experience, including 2+ years as a Foreman (commercial or multi-family).
• Expert working knowledge of torch/modified bitumen, shingles, single-ply, TPO, and other commercial systems; flashing & waterproofing fundamentals.
• People-first leader who enjoys managing, coaching, and holding standards.
• Reads plans/specs; rock-solid safety mindset.
• CA driver’s license & reliable transportation.
• Comfortable with phone/tablet apps for time, photos, and reports; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

RESUMEN DEL PUESTO
Reportará al Superintendente y dirigirá el trabajo seguro y productivo de varias cuadrillas de techado. Puesto de gestión en campo ideal para (1) un Capataz actual listo para ascender a manejar capataces y cuadrillas, o (2) un Gerente de Techos que ya lidera capataces y desea unirse a un equipo de alto desempeño. Será el punto de contacto para todo lo relacionado con las cuadrillas: materiales, capacitación, personal y liderazgo diario.

RESPONSABILIDADES
• Dirigir, entrenar y programar cuadrillas/capataces; reuniones diarias y plan semanal.
• Seguir la producción de cerca; pronosticar exceso/escasez de mano de obra y reasignar personal.
• Reclutar, contratar, incorporar y retener miembros de cuadrilla de alto nivel.
• Cumplir con seguridad (Cal/OSHA), control de calidad y especificaciones.
• Realizar inspecciones de techos para nuevos trabajos y documentar hallazgos (fotos/informes).
• Reunirse con representantes de fabricantes para inspecciones y certificaciones de garantía.
• Atender la logística de cuadrillas: materiales/equipo, dudas de capacitación y solución de problemas en campo.
• Apoyar con órdenes de cambio pequeñas; cerrar pendientes y garantías.

REQUISITOS
• 5+ años en techado y 2+ años como Capataz (comercial o multi-familia).
• Dominio práctico de torch/mod bit, tejas, single-ply, TPO y otros sistemas comerciales; láminas y trabajos de impermeabilización.
• Líder orientado a las personas: disfruta gestionar, capacitar y mantener estándares.
• Lectura de planos/especificaciones; enfoque sólido en seguridad.
• Licencia de conducir de CA y transporte confiable.
• Manejo de apps en teléfono/tableta para tiempo, fotos e informes; bilingüe inglés/español es un plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE (ROOFING HELPER)

Support our roofing crews in the field. You’ll help move materials, keep the site clean and safe, learn installation basics, and assist the Foreman and Roofers. Great fit for someone reliable, hard-working, and ready to learn a skilled trade.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Load, carry, and stage roofing materials; set up ladders, safety lines, and tools.

• Keep job sites clean: debris removal, magnet sweep for nails, daily cleanup.

• Assist with tear-offs, underlayment, and basic install tasks under supervision.

• Help measure, cut, and prepare flashings/sealants; hand tools and supplies to roofers.

• Follow safety rules (Cal/OSHA), wear PPE, and help flag hazards.

• Take job photos and basic notes on a phone/tablet as directed.

• Drive for materials or dump runs (if approved and insured).

 

WHAT YOU BRING

• 0–2+ years construction or roofing experience (we will train the right person).

• Reliable, on-time, coachable; positive team attitude.

• Able to lift 75 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.

• Safety-first mindset; listens and follows directions.

• CA driver’s license & reliable transportation preferred.

RESUMEN DEL PUESTO (AYUDANTE DE TECHADO)

Apoyarás a nuestras cuadrillas en campo: mover materiales, mantener el área limpia y segura, aprender tareas básicas de instalación y ayudar al Capataz y a los Techadores. Ideal para alguien puntual, trabajador y con ganas de aprender un oficio.

 

RESPONSABILIDADES

• Cargar, mover y acomodar materiales; colocar escaleras, líneas de seguridad y herramientas.

• Mantener el lugar de trabajo limpio: retirar escombros, pasar imán para clavos, limpieza diaria.

• Apoyar en el retiro de cubiertas (tear-off), base/impermeabilización y tareas básicas bajo supervisión.

• Ayudar a medir, cortar y preparar láminas/ selladores; pasar herramientas y suministros.

• Cumplir reglas de seguridad (Cal/OSHA), usar EPP y señalar peligros.

• Tomar fotos y notas básicas en teléfono/tableta según indicaciones.

• Conducir para recoger materiales o ir al vertedero (si está autorizado y asegurado).

 

REQUISITOS

• 0–2+ años en construcción o techado (entrenamos a la persona correcta).

• Confiable, puntual, con buena actitud y ganas de aprender.

• Capaz de levantar 34 kg (75 lb), trabajar en alturas, subir escaleras y laborar al aire libre.

• Enfoque en seguridad; sigue instrucciones.

• Licencia de conducir de CA y transporte confiable preferible.

• Manejo básico de smartphone para tiempo, fotos y apps sencillas.

• Bilingüe inglés/español es un plus; OSHA-10 es un plus.
